The Origin Story

I needed a simple bar chart. Should've taken 30 seconds. Instead, I spent 20 minutes creating accounts, dismissing upgrade modals, and explaining to yet another app why I don't want to "start my free trial."

So I built Cool Charts. No accounts. No emails. No "please subscribe." Just paste your data, pick some colors, and download something that actually looks good.

The Philosophy

Good tools should be shared, not gatekept. Cool Charts is free because useful things shouldn't require a login. If it helps you make a better presentation, win an argument, or just procrastinate more productively — mission accomplished.

This is how I think the internet should work: I build something useful, you use it for free. If it clicks, you give back what you can. No pressure. Just community.

Why Not Just Use AI?

Could AI make this chart? Probably. Would it take four tries and mass extinction energy? Also probably.
